Local COVID-19 updates
Dec. 17th, 2021 06:38 pm( Wall-o-text )
Deaths way up again day-over-day, cases up again, hospitalizations up again, all four seven-day averages up again. Today's 45 deaths are the highest single-day report since 54 were reported on March 24; today's 6,345 cases are the highest since 7,110 were reported on January 9; and today's 1,499 patients are the highest since 1,503 reported on February 5.
In a grim milestone that I haven't seen mentioned yet in the news, the Commonwealth has officially reported over one million combined confirmed and probable cases of COVID. And, at the rate we're going, we'll probably hit twenty thousand combined confirmed and probable deaths sometime next week.
This stinks.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 66 active and 1,478 cumulative cases as of December 16. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1PM on November 22, 2021 reported 1304 cumulative cases with 54 individuals in isolation, 1218 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
