Wall-o-text, with 231 of 351 cities/towns in the red zone )

Well, this is atrocious. Compared to yesterday, newly reported confirmed deaths are up, and newly reported confirmed cases are way up. Today's 5,883 newly reported confirmed cases are the highest single-day amount since 7,110 cases were reported back on January 9. The hospitalization count is also up again; today's 1,473 reported patients is the highest that number has been since the 1,503 reported on February 5. All four seven-day moving averages are up compared to yesterday.

And as for the weekly city/town numbers? Well, if the states was still bothering to report its risk color codes, 231 of the 351 communities would be in the highest, red risk code. My own town of Acton hasn't hit that level yet, but every neighboring town including Acton is either in the yellow or red risk categories.

Yuck.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 51 active and 1,463 cumulative cases as of December 15. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1PM on November 22, 2021 reported 1304 cumulative cases with 54 individuals in isolation, 1218 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
