The state has changed the header on its
COVID-19 Interactive Data Dashboard
, with an explanation of why the death figures on Tuesdays have been so high:
Note This dashboard is updated Monday-Friday. Please see notes about weekend data.
  • Case and testing data from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are added to the dashboard on Monday

  • Deaths added to the dashboard on Monday were reported Friday; deaths reported Saturday through Monday are added to the dashboard on Tuesday

  • When Monday is a scheduled holiday, the Friday through Monday case, testing, and death data will be posted on Tuesdays

Not so good. Those 27 deaths are down from yesterday, but as the new note suggests, yesterday's 61 deaths covered three days, which averages 20.3 deaths per day; compared to that, deaths are up a bunch. Confirmed cases are way up again, back over five thousand per day. At least hospitalizations aren't up much; only one more patient than yesterday (but the ICU and ventilator counts are up more). The seven-day case average is down again, but still over three thousand per day; the other three averages are all up.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 45 active and 1,454 cumulative cases as of December 14. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1PM on November 22, 2021 reported 1304 cumulative cases with 54 individuals in isolation, 1218 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
