Local COVID-19 updates
May. 29th, 2021 06:15 pmThe state continues to provide advanced warning of the upcoming Memorial Day outage, at least:
( Wall-o-text )
Deaths are up day-to-day, which isn't great; however, cases and hospitalizations are both down, and the estimated active case count is down below seven thousand. The seven-day averages are also mostly looking good, with the percent-positive rate of 0.69% at the new Lowest Observed Value (LOV) ever reported, and newly confirmed cases and deaths both nearly at the LOV. If these trends continue statewide now that the business restrictions have been lifted, I might actually start thinking we're (locally) in decent shape.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 3 active and 978 cumulative cases as of May 28. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
Please note: The COVID-19 dashboard report will NOT be published on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. The report published on Tuesday, June 1 will include two days of COVID-19 data.I'm expecting that figuring trends next week will be wonkier than usual.
