The state continues to provide advanced warning of the upcoming Memorial Day outage, at least:
Please note: The COVID-19 dashboard report will NOT be published on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. The report published on Tuesday, June 1 will include two days of COVID-19 data.
I'm expecting that figuring trends next week will be wonkier than usual.

The day-to-day changes are very much a mixed bag; deaths are down, but cases are up while tests are down, which (if the trend continues) will bode ill for future positivity rates. The estimated active case count is down yet again, which is good, and all three hospitalization counts are also down compared to yesterday. The seven-day averages are also all down, both compared to yesterday and compared to two weeks ago, so hopefully the uptick in newly reported cases is just random chance.

Today's big news, of course, is the official announcement by Governor Charlie Baker that (almost) all COVID restrictions are lifted effective midnight tonight:

Masks are still required on public transportation and at places like medical facilities, and private businesses can still require masks if they so choose.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 3 active and 978 cumulative cases as of May 27. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities; that's three more cases, six more persons recovered and (thankfully) no more deaths that the previous report at 12PM on May 17, 2021.
