One more day's warning by the state about tomorrow's Memorial Day outage:
Please note: The COVID-19 dashboard report will NOT be published on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31. The report published on Tuesday, June 1 will include two days of COVID-19 data.
I'm expecting that figuring trends next week will be wonkier than usual, what with today being a Sunday and tomorrow being a no-data-day.

Day-to-day deaths are down, which is always good to see; day-to-day cases and tests are both down, which means it's Sunday more than anything else. The estimated active case count continues to set new record lows, which is great; hospitalization counts are flat. The seven-day averages continue to drop, with the averages for both deaths and percent-positive hitting new lows as well. All in all, a good day's changes.

Not that all the news out today is great; there are huge differences in vaccination rates between different parts of the state, not just between different states:

99% of over-30s in Newton with at least one shot, compared to 64% of the same age bracket in Springfield. No surprise that Newton has a 4% poverty rate and only 8% of the population Black or Latino, while Springfield has a 27% poverty rate and 60% of the population being Black or Latino. Even in Massachusetts, we still have quite a ways to go to get folks vaccinated.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 1 active and 978 cumulative cases as of May 29. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
