Today being Thursday, the state also included city/town specific information in the daily download. My town of Acton is listed as having 950 total cases, with a two-week case count of less than five cases, a daily incidence rate of 0.9 which is the same than last week, and a risk color code of gray. Acton is also listed as having 49,234 total tests, with a two-week total test count of 1,106 and a two-week positive test count of 3, for a percent-positive rate of 0.27 which is the same than last week. The corresponding statewide figures are 662,966 total cases, with a two-week case count of 1,606 cases, a daily incidence rate of 1.6 which is lower than last week, and a risk color code of gray. Massachusetts is also listed as having 23,444,629 total tests, with a two-week total test count of 425,540 and a two-week positive test count of 2,123, for a percent-positive rate of 0.50 which is lower than last week.
Of the 351 cites and towns in the Commonwealth, 328 are coded gray (compared to 313 last week), 23 are coded green (compared to 38 last week), and zero are coded yellow (compared to zero last week). There were no cities or towns coded red this week.
Of the 10 towns near my church, 10 are coded gray (Acton, Berlin, Bolton, Boxborough, Harvard, Hudson, Marlborough, Maynard, Stow, and Sudbury), none are coded green, none are coded yellow, and none are coded red.
The daily raw data file used to create this report is available here.
A mixed bag of day-to-day changes today, with deaths down, but cases up. The estimated active case count is down yet again, as are the hospitalization counts; all four seven-day averages are, again, at their Lowest Observed Values. The city/town-level information also is continuing to improve; none of the 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth have enough of a case load at this point to reach either the yellow (moderate) or red (high) risk categories; only 23 have enough cases to reach the green (low) risk category, which requires greater than fifteen new cases (for larger cities; smaller ones "only" need ten new cases) over the past two weeks.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing zero active and 981 cumulative cases as of June 16. There have been no new cases shown on this dashboard since June 2. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
