( Wall-o-text )The day-to-day changes are very much a mixed bag. Deaths and cases are both up, but estimated active cases and hospitalizations are both down. The seven-day averages are all either down or steady compared to yesterday; the seven-day averages for cases, hospitalizations and percent-positive are also all down from two weeks ago (though still way up compared to the lowest observed values from last summer).
Possibly worth noting: despite today being Wednesday, the fourteen-day average test turnaround time was
not updated today. I don't know if that's related to the "technical issues" that delayed today's update or not.

( Read more... )This makes huge amounts of sense, given how difficult the state found managing appointments to be, and given that supply is now exceeding demand (at least, here in Massachusetts).

Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 8 active and 964 cumulative cases as of May 5. The most recent "newsflash style update" at
6PM on April 27, 2021 reported 951 cumulative cases with 13 individuals in isolation, 906 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
