Local COVID-19 updates

Another mixed bag, day-to-day: deaths up, cases down but also tests down, and estimated active cases down as well. The fact that newly reported cases were down while newly reported tests were down further makes me suspect the drop in cases is an artifact of weekend reporting. Hospitalization rates are also up (although the COVID-19 ICU population is down), which isn't great news either. On the other hand, the seven-day averages for cases, deaths and percent-positive are all down, both day-to-day and in comparision to two weeks ago.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 38 active and 896 cumulative cases as of April 8, and has not been updated since. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1:30PM on April 3, 2021 reported 871 cumulative cases with 38 individuals in isolation, 801 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
