Day-to-day cases and deaths both down a lot - but it's Sunday, and weekend reporting tends to be lower than weekday reporting, so the proverbial grain of salt is needed. On the other hand, the positivity rate and hospitalization counts are all down again, and that's definite good news. So is the fact that all the seven-day averages are well below where they were two weeks ago.
Tomorrow, folks 75 and older will be eligible under Phase 2 of the state's current vaccination plan. Of course, we also have a Winter Storm Warning up for tomorrow, with seven to fifteen inches of snow expected starting at seven AM, so those vaccinations will probably get off to quite the flying stop.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 52 active and 676 cumulative cases as of January 29. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1:30PM on January 25, 2021 reported 655 cumulative cases with 49 individuals in isolation, 575 persons recovered and 31 fatalities.
