One year ago, the 7 day confirmed case average was 1,281.0, the 7 day confirmed deaths average was 25.0, the 7 day hospitalization average was 599.0, and the 7 day weighted average positivity rate was 2.20% (or 3.72% excluding higher education).

The daily raw data file used to create this report is available here.

Day-over-day deaths are down, which is always good news ... but cases are up nearly 40% from yesterday! Today's 1,074 newly reported confirmed cases mark the first time that's been over a thousand for a one-day report since March 3. Hospitalizations are down again, but the seven-day averages for cases and percent-positive are both up. This bodes very poorly for the immediate future, especially as almost everyone I see in public has given up on indoor masking.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 28 active and 2,838 cumulative cases as of March 22; the 28 active cases are double the amount reported just yesterday. At least the town did finally update its COVID-19 Information Center page to note that they lifted the townwide mask mandate back on February 24. In the most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
