As of 4PM today, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting 6 newly reported confirmed deaths (2 more than yesterday - up 50.0%) for a total of 8,617 deaths, 175 newly reported confirmed cases (38 less than yesterday - down 17.8%) for a total of 114,786 cases, and 11,653 new patients tested by molecular tests (3,293 less than yesterday - down 22.0%) for a total of 1,467,765 individuals tested, with a total of 1,946,517 molecular tests administered to date. The ratio of newly confirmed cases to individuals tested by molecular test is 1.5%, compared to 1.4% yesterday. The state also reported 334 patients tested by antibody tests (81 more than yesterday - up 32.0%) for a total of 105,874 and 1,579 patients tested by antigen tests (1,258 more than yesterday - up 391.9%) for a total of 70,597.

The seven day average number of newly confirmed cases per day is 259.6 compared to 276.6 last week (down 6.1%) and 327.6 two weeks ago (down 20.8%). The seven day average number of newly confirmed deaths per day is 12.6 compared to 13.3 last week (down 5.4%) and 15.0 two weeks ago (down 16.2%). The seven day average number of molecular tests per day is 18,594.1 compared to 14,785.7 last week (up 25.8%) and 14,347.4 two weeks ago (up 29.6%). The seven day average percentage of tests coming back positive per day is 1.4% compared to 1.9% last week and 2.3% two weeks ago. (The above averages are calculated from today's raw data download.)

Unsurprisingly, the day-to-day numbers are ... noisy. Deaths up (although still pretty low), cases and molecular tests down, and the percent-positive ratio ticking up slightly. The seven-day trends look substantially better, all going in the right directions compared to last week and two weeks ago.
