As of 4PM today, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting 50 newly reported confirmed COVID-19 deaths (for a total of 7,062 confirmed deaths), 412 newly reported confirmed cases (for a total of 98,376) and 7,115 new patients tested by molecular tests (for a total of 621,248). The ratio of newly confirmed cases to molecular test results is 6.6%. The state reported zero probable deaths (which somehow caused the total to drop to 139), 59 newly reported probable cases (for a total of 3,687), and 1,022 patients tested by antibody tests (for a total of 48,436). In total, the state reported 50 new deaths (for a total of 7,201) and 471 new cases (for a total of 102,063).
Fewer new deaths and new cases compared to yesterday is good. However, that jump in the percentage of test results coming back positive is worry-making, and I really wonder where that one "probable" death disappeared to.
As of 9PM tonight, the town of Acton is reporting 170 cumulative cases with 32 individuals in isolation, 117 persons recovered and 21 fatalities.
