edschweppeDon Adams, famed as Agent 86 of Get Smart, died last Sunday from a lung infection. (I guess the antibiotics missed their target by that much.)
One thing that I was really surprised by in his biography, though. Adams was a Marine WWII vet who fought on Guadalcanal; after recovering from blackwater fever, he served as a Marine Drill Instructor. It's a tribute to his acting ability that he could be so convincing as a bumbling idiot ...
