Local COVID-19 updates
Apr. 18th, 2020 11:02 pmAs of 4PM this afternoon, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting one hundred fifty six more deaths from COVID-19 (for a total of 1,560 to date), 1,970 new cases (for a total of 36,372) and 8,062 more persons tested (for a total of 148,744).
The good news appears to be that overall, the state still has a decent amount of hospital capacity available to deal with this surge of patients. The bad news is that the case counts (and death counts) are nowhere near stabilizing.
The town of Acton is reporting a total of 45 confirmed cases in town, unchanged from yesterday.
