Local COVID-19 updates
Apr. 16th, 2020 08:48 pmAs of 4PM this afternoon, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting one hundred thirty seven more deaths from COVID-19 (for a total of 1,245 to date), 2,263 new cases (for a total of 32,181) and 8,750 more persons tested (for a total of 140,773).
My church now has one member confirmed to be ill with the coronavirus, and a second member in quarantine due to exposure. Fortunately, we've been doing virtual services for the last few weeks, so that transmission path has been broken. But that news hits home in a new (and quite unpleasant) way.
The town of Acton has yet to post an update today. Yesterday's update reported 39 cases in town.
