As of 4PM this afternoon, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting thirty-three more deaths from COVID-19 (the same number as yesterday, for a total of 122 to date), 1118 new cases (for a total of 7738) and 4803 more persons tested (for a total of 51738).
The Boston Globe reported that there was one coronavirus death and at least four other cases at the Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley, which is not just in the next town over from me (Littleton) but is literally on the road that I used to take every day to the commuter rail station. The Globe's online article includes a picture of said commuter rail station; I presume it's one of their file photos, as it shows full bike racks and full overflow parking lots in the background, and those lots are empty nowadays.
My own town of Acton is now reporting five confirmed cases (up from four yesterday). All the town playgrounds have been closed, as has the playground run by my townhouse association. (Their outdoor tennis courts remain open.)
