The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is apparently taking the Presidents Day holiday off from reporting, as their dashboard is still showing Friday's numbers (47 deaths, 1,983 cases). I say "apparently" because there's no notification on said dashboard; usually, they're pretty good about telling folks when they're observing a holiday.

In one good bit of personal news, I got an email today from the US Postal Service saying they've shippped my four free COVID-19 tests, with delivery expected by this Saturday.

Now, I can't tell from the story whether the long-term protection is only going to be against serious acute illness, or if there will be good protection against "long COVID" and/or transmitting the virus to others. (And I'm guessing they don't have enough data yet to tell either way.) But this is still good news for those with enough smarts to get themselves vaccinated.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 16 active and 2,763 cumulative cases as of February 20. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
