Wall-o-text, covering 3 days of case data - and percent-positive below five percent! )

Deaths down compared to Friday, which is good. Raw case numbers are up, but there are three days worth of cases in this report and that average (2,241.7 new cases per day) is substantially lower than Friday's 4,195. In fact, today's 6,725 cases is the lowest three-day count since November 29, 2021. Hospitalizations are down again, as are all four seven-day averages. A particularly good milestone: the seven-day percent-positive rate is down to 4.78%, the first time it's been reported under five percent since November 30, 2021. The Omicron variant hadn't yet been officially reported in Massachusetts back in November; hopefully today's numbers are an indication that Omicron has shot its wad locally. On the other hand, the Delta variant was still doing a number on us back then, and our hospitals are still damn near full (only eight percent of the state's non-ICU hospital beds are open). Out of the woods, we ain't.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 62 active and 2,723 cumulative cases as of February 6. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
