Things are improving, but verrrry slowwwwly. Deaths did drop compared to yesterday. Cases also dropped day-to-day, but are still at almost five thousand cases per day, which is awful; looks like we'll hit the million-and-a-half mark for total COVID cases tomorrow. Hospitalization counts are also down, but the state as a whole still only has eight percent of its non-ICU beds available - we're still in trouble with one big mass-casualty event. The seven-day averages are all steady or dropping, with percent-positive below six percent for the first time in a long time. The city/town data also is out, and the trend of slow improvements continues there as well, with "only" 287 of the 351 communities at the "red" risk code. Of course, that includes my town and every town bordering it.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 52 active and 2,675 cumulative cases as of February 1, and has not been updated since. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
