Another day, another note from the state about how mucked up the daily reporting is:
NOTICE January 19, 2022
Death data from the weekend posted today (January 19) includes deaths reported Saturday 12/15 through Tuesday 12/18 and therefore represents 4 days’ worth of data.
Yesterday (January 18), the daily COVID-19 Interactive Data Dashboard included data from Friday, 1/14 through Monday, 1/17, as well as the remaining backlog of laboratory results from Thursday, 1/13 resulting from network connectivity issues that affected numerous state agencies
Presumably, they meant Saturday 1/15 through Tuesday 1/18...

Wall-o-text, covering 4 days of death data )

Not particularly good news today. Even averaging today's 199 newly reported deaths over four days, they're higher than yesterday's report of 47; in terms of raw numbers, the 199 deaths are the highest the state has ever reported in a daily dashboard, breaking the previous record of 116 deaths reported January 11 and the highest-ever single-day report of 118 deaths reported on December 30, 2020. Today's case count is also up compared to yesterday's (when the latter is averaged over four days). In one slightly good piece of news, the latest numbers for COVID-19 patients in hospital is down a little bit, as are the seven-day averages for cases and percent-positive. Seven-day averages for hospitalizations and deaths continue to tick upward, however.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 148 active and 2,410 cumulative cases as of January 18. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
