Well, I suppose the news is slightly better today: newly reported deaths held constant compared to yesterday, while cases are down (though still over five thousand) and one less person is hospitalized. The seven-day averages are a mixed bag, with cases down by one but hospitalizations, deaths and percent-positive all up. Not quite as bad as on this date last year, but way worse than two weeks ago, and the trendlines look bad.
Oh, and the state hit the unenviable milestone of nine hundred thousand confirmed cases today, reporting a total of 901,430. Joy.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 65 active and 1,429 cumulative cases as of December 9. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1PM on November 22, 2021 reported 1304 cumulative cases with 54 individuals in isolation, 1218 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
