Wall-o-text, covering 3 days )

Since Friday's data covered two days and today's data covered three days, day-to-day comparisons are ... weirder ... than usual. In raw numbers, deaths were down compared to Friday (21 vs 24) while cases were up (5,497 vs 5,058). Averaging those numbers over the number of days covered, the opposite occurs; average deaths per day are up in today's report compared to Friday's (7 vs 12) while average cases per day were down (1,832 vs 2,529). On the other hand, both the numbers of deaths and cases are Too Damn High, in my not terribly humble opinion. The seven-day averages of newly confirmed deaths and cases are down, which is nice; however, those for hospitalizations and percent-positive are up again, which is not nice at all.
