Day-to-day deaths and cases are down; admittedly, that's to be hoped for, given that yesterday covered three days of data, but I'll still take it. Less happily, hospitalizations ticked up again; even less happily, the seven-day averages for percent-positive and deaths are both up compared to yesterday; the average for newly reported cases is again at the Lowest Observed Value, but that LOV keeps creeping up. (The state is using a seven-day average based on the date that the patient was tested, which isn't necessarily the date the state reports that test. I presume this is why we keep seeing that LOV creep up over time - every day, the previous six days of data get updated.)

Again, the absolute numbers are good, but the trends aren't. Not a huge problem - yet.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing zero active and 981 cumulative cases as of July 6. There have been no new cases shown on this dashboard since June 2, over a month ago. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.

Just in time for the current heat wave to break ... looks like we're getting Tropical Storm Elsa on Friday:
Thus sayeth the National Hurricane Center )
The current local forecast has me getting lots of rain and possibly lots of wind on Friday, but not a catastrophic event by any means.
