My state representative, Dr. Tami Gouveia, announced today that she's running for Lieutenant Governor next year. If I'm reading this Boston Globe article correctly, she's the first Democrat to officially throw her hat into the ring for the number 2 spot:

Day-to-day deaths stayed the same for the third day running; cases were down but tests were proportionately down more, so I suspect weekend reporting wonkery there. On the other hand, it's probably worth noting that the 89 newly reported confirmed cases are the lowest that statistic has been since June 30 of last year, which was also the first time since the pandemic started that no new deaths were reported. (The first page of the state's dashboard for June 30, 2020 shows 114 "newly reported cases today", but that includes both confirmed and probable cases.) The estimated active case count continues to drop to ever-lower levels, although the hospitalization counts ticked up compared to yesterday. The seven-day averages for deaths, cases and percent-positive are all at their Lowest Observed Values while the seven-day hospitalization average continues to drop. All in all, pretty good news.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 3 active and 981 cumulative cases as of June 6. (There have been no new cases shown on this dashboard since June 2.) The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
