Local COVID-19 updates
Apr. 25th, 2021 06:00 pm( Wall-o-text )
Day-to-day deaths, cases, estimated active cases, and seven-day average percent-positive all down, which is good; tests also down, which raises the possibility that the good news is (at least partially) due to weekend reporting lapses. Hospitalizations are up, which is also not good. Seven-day averages for cases are up, but for hospitalizations is down.
The truly good news is that the seven-day average death rate continues to be the lowest since April 2020. The truly not yet good news is that the daily case incidence rate is still above twenty daily new cases per 100,000 population; the folks at COVID Act Now are showing the state as 21.4 daily new cases per 100k, which is very firmly near the top of the "high risk" category.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 19 active and 946 cumulative cases as of April 23, and has apparently not been updated since. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 4:45PM on April 13, 2021 reported 914 cumulative cases with 30 individuals in isolation, 852 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
