Day to day, cases and deaths are both up a lot; in fact, today Massachusetts passed the rather grim fourteen thousand dead milestone, with a total of 14,013 confirmed COVID deaths. On the other hand, newly reported tests are way up, and overall percent-positive continues its downward trend. Estimated active cases and hospitalization counts are all down as well. The fourteen-day average daily incidence per hundred thousand population is also well down from last week. Despite the day-over-day noisiness, it's starting to look as if the longer-term trends are in fact in the good direction.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 41 active and 665 cumulative cases as of January 26. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 1:30PM on January 25, 2021 reported 655 cumulative cases with 49 individuals in isolation, 575 persons recovered and 31 fatalities.
