Local COVID-19 updates
May. 3rd, 2020 09:13 pmAs of 4PM this afternoon, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting 158 more deaths from COVID-19 (for a total of 4,004 to date), 1,824 new cases (for a total of 68,087) and 15,652 more tests performed (for a total of 314,646).
I suppose the "good" news is that the hospitalization numbers are (slightly) trending down. But I can't see any indication yet of a sustained drop in daily case or death counts. And there's not much good to be said about crossing the four thousand deaths mark.
The town of Acton has yet to post an update today. Yesterday's report listed 96 confirmed cases in town, 53 of those being "cases in isolation that are actively being monitored".
