The US Postal Service may boast about how "neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night" keeps them from delivering the mail [1] - but Britain's Royal Mail doesn't even need a street address. According to the BBC:

Paul Bates drew a map on an envelope with a dot labelled "somewhere here" in north Cornwall, below the name of former colleague Peter O'Leary.

But postal workers in Bude managed to pinpoint the right address and deliver the letter.

Perhaps the silliest part of the story, though, is the fact that Mr. Bates didn't include his return address in his letter, so neither of them have the other's address.
