A couple of months ago, I blogged about that Air New Zealand advertisement where various crew members wore only body paint.

Now, they've gone one better - they've done a pre-flight safety briefing in nothing but body paint:

(Okay, they're also wearing shoes. And the first officer gets to wear his hat. Picky.)

I have to admit, though, that I really hope the actual flight crews get to wear their real uniforms. That poor first officer has no place to put his pen, after all ...

Well, some possible pen receptacles do come to mind.

(Above the *ear*, dammit . . .)

Not available when wearing David Clark (http://www.davidclark.com/) noise-cancelling headsets, alas.

I just tried it with the "mouse ears" I use for shooting and chainsaw work. Yes, you *can* tuck a pen up there.

Acutally, he does.

That is what the top of your ear is for, right?

Giggle.

Oops. Too late again. Although for my ear protection at work, under the band just behind my temple and above the padded ring over my ear still works.... On both sides.

What? I have to carry a red and a green pencil to correct drawings in the field.

You get to make your corrections in pencil? ::would be jealous, except I'm out of the service::

Also, yay for Criminal Minds fandom!

Well, I'm not "in the service" - I'm just a chemical engineer trying to kick a project through in fast gear at a refinery. I mark deletions in green and additions in red for the drafting staff to perform, then backcheck with yellow, red, green and blue as required.

I gather a lot of things are a lot easier when one isn't in the service, but I never have been, so that's just a second-hand impression I've gathered.
