I have recently noticed a number of people on my friends list posting entries (either public or f-locked) with a subject of "resurfacing".

As a former submariner, I approve of this practice.

But the surface has those "wave" things, and that horrible bright thing in the sky, and that weird air with no diesel fumes. Who would want that?

True, but the surface is a prerequisite for liberty. And liberty is a prerequisite for beer. And beer is a Good Thing.

There was a DZ story by that name many years back, too. Kinda dealt with an amnesiac sorta thing, IIRC.
