As of 4PM today, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is reporting 35 newly reported confirmed COVID-19 deaths (for a total of 7,097 confirmed deaths), 420 newly reported confirmed cases (for a total of 98,796) and 9,760 new patients tested by molecular tests (for a total of 631,008). The ratio of newly confirmed cases to molecular test results is 5.1%. The state reported zero probable deaths (which somehow caused the total to drop to 138), 74 newly reported probable cases (for a total of 3,761), and 1,120 patients tested by antibody tests (for a total of 49,556). In total, the state reported 35 new deaths (for a total of 7,235) and 494 new cases (for a total of 102,557).
Fewer new deaths, more tests and a lower test-positivity rate compared to yesterday are all good, and the rise in total new case numbers is pretty minimal. But this is the second day in a row that the "total deaths from among probable cases" number has gone down, with (as far as I can tell) no explanation whatsoever, and I'd really like to know WTF is going on.
There was also, for the first time since its inception, a change in the six color-coded "status" indicator list on the front page of the daily dashboard; the "number of patients with COVID-19 in hospitals" went from yellow ("in progress") to green ("positive trend"). The question on many (most?) residents' minds is what, based on these numbers, Governor Baker does next:
The town of Acton, once again, has not issued an update since last night at 9PM; that report listed 170 cumulative cases with 32 individuals in isolation, 117 persons recovered and 21 fatalities.

With suspense building about whether Governor Charlie Baker will allow the state to move to Phase 2 of its gradual reopening process, officials reported Friday that the death toll from the coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts had risen by 35 and the number of cases had climbed by 494.
The numbers reflect both confirmed and probable cases. State officials announced this week that they would be adding probable cases to their reporting, in accordance with guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The state reported combined totals of 7,235 deaths and 102,557 cases. (When confirmed cases only are included, the tally is 7,097 deaths and 98,796 cases.)

The state also moved the category of "number of patients with COVID-19 in hospitals" to green from yellow on the state’s color-coded chart of key indicators. The color green indicates a positive trend," while yellow means "in progress."
"This change was based on trends in hospitalization and ICU admissions," Department of Public Health spokeswoman Ann Scales said in an e-mail.
