National Parks pass now a lifetime benefit for veterans

I didn't see news coverage of this, but apparently the free-access-to-National-parks program that's been available to veterans for a couple of years is now a lifetime offer, not just one year at a time:

Naturally, this comes out a few weeks after I got the annual vet's pass, at my local park, the Minute Man National Historic Park. And, of course, they only offer the passes at the Lexington visitor's center, which is now closed for the winter. Ah, well, the annual one is still good for all of this year and most of next, by which time the Lexington visitor's center will have reopened.

Today's high at Hanscom Field? 75F, at 12:51.
Snow likely late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Gotta love New England weather, especially with an extra dose of climate change.
