Local (and not-so-local) COVID-19 updates
May. 25th, 2022 05:12 pmWelp, it's official. Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID Data Tracker main page, the US has officially recorded 1,000,250 deaths from COVID-19.

Day-over-day raw deaths down, which is unsurprising as yesterday's report covered three days; compared to the average over those three days, though, today's death count is up, which is never good. Cases are also up, which does not bode well; hospitalizations are down, however, which does. Three of the four seven-day averages (cases, percent-positive, and hospitalizations) are down compared to yesterday. An at-best-mixed bag, all in all.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 43 active and 3,377 cumulative cases as of May 24. In the most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
