Wall-o-text, covering 3 days of case data )

Well, yikes. Day-over-day comparisons are somewhat mixed, especially given that today's case and test data covers three days of weekend reporting wonkiness. Deaths ticked up by one. The raw case numbers are up; averaged over three days, they're lower than Friday; on the other hand, today's 6,290 newly reported cases are the highest three-day report since 6,725 were reported on February 7. Hospitalizations actually held steady compared to Friday's report. The seven-day percent-positive average ticked downward, which is encouraging; the seven-day new cases average of 2,151.7 broke two thousand for the first time since an average of 2158.1 cases was reported on February 8, which is discouraging.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 50 active and 3,094 cumulative cases as of May 1; that's the first time at fifty or more since the town reported 62 active cases on February 6. In the most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
