Day-to-day deaths, cases and hospitalizations all down, which is encouraging. The seven-day average for percent-positive is up, which is not; the other three seven-day averages are all down.

I ordered a second set of free COVID-19 tests on Tuesday and they arrived today. (These are Abbot BinaxNOW tests, with an expiration date of April 19, 2023. (Guess I'll use the first set first.) OTOH, ordering these was ridiculously easy, and the speed at which this order was filled suggests strongly that there currently aren't any shortages or supply-chain issues for the tests. If you live in the USA and you haven't already done so, hie thee hence to https://www.covidtests.gov/.

Still trying to figure out how to automate querying the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the data underlying their COVID-19 by County "community levels". It appears as though they're now doing their calculations on Thursday evenings. The current data claims that every county in Massachusetts has a community level of low. At the same time, the CDC's "Level of Community Transmission" data shows three counties (Berkshire, Hampshire and Middlesex) with high community transmission, eight (Barnstable, Bristol, Franklin, Hampden, Nantucket, Norfolk, Suffolk and Worcester) with substantial community transmission, three (Dukes, Essex and Plymouth) with moderate community transmission, and none with low community transmission. Until very recently, the CDC was basing their mask-wearing guidance on community transmission levels, where masking up indoors in public was recommended for anyone (vaccinated or not) in an area of high or substantial community transmission.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 9 active and 2,798 cumulative cases as of March 10. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
