I may have thought yesterday was good news, but today is the sort of day that reminds me how little faith to put in one day's observations. The raw number of deaths reported today is down from yesterday. However, as yesterday covered three day's worth of deaths data, one should hope that would be the case; compared to the average over those three days, today's reported 69 deaths are up 67%. Today's reported cases (2,794) are also way up (56%) compared to yesterday. In more encouraging news, hospitalizations continue their downward trend, as do three of the four seven-day averages.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 43 active and 2,731 cumulative cases as of February 7, and apparently has not been updated since. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
