Local COVID-19 updates
Jan. 25th, 2022 05:25 pm( Wall-o-text, covering 3 days of death data )
Day-over-day deaths are up in raw numbers but down when averaged over the three days the data supposedly covers. Day-over-day cases are down, even when averaging out yesterday's report to cover the three days it covers. Hospitalization counts for yesterday remain borked, and I haven't yet figured out how I'm going to handle them, but judging from the dashboard hospitalizations are down slightly from yesterday. Overall, it continues to appear that the peak of the infections for the Omicron wave has in fact passed here in Massachusetts, although the raw case numbers are still way, way, way too damn high.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 123 active and 2,564 cumulative cases as of January 24. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 7PM on December 21, 2021, the town reported 1538 cumulative cases with 89 individuals in isolation, 1417 recovered and 32 fatalities.
