Local COVID-19 updates
Nov. 12th, 2021 06:51 pmThe state took yesterday off from reporting, what with it being Veterans Day:
So we got nothing yesterday, two days today, nothing tomorrow or Sunday, and then a three-day blob on Monday. Who needs to do day-to-day comparisons?
( Wall-o-text, covering 2 days )
Surprise, surprise: this is mostly not-good news. Daily deaths are down, which should be good news, but the newly reported cases are up even after averaging. Total hospitalizations ticked down slightly, but the seven-day averages for cases, percent-positive and hospitalizations are all up, and that's not good at all. Also not good is the shifts in the numbers of cities and towns in the various risk color code bands; all the counts are down except for the worst-case "red" code, which saw a net hike of fourteen communities to a new total of thirty-one.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 20 active and 1,226 cumulative cases as of November 11. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
Please note: the daily COVID-19 Interactive Data Dashboard was not posted on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11. Data from Wednesday, November 10 to Thursday, November 11 is included in the Dashboard published on Friday, November 12.
