Today's data covers three days of reporting (Friday, Saturday and Sunday); thus, the numbers reported today correspond to an average of 1.3 daily reported confirmed deaths (down from Friday's reported 3), 239 daily reported confirmed cases (down from Friday's reported 269) and 20,493 daily reported molecular tests (down from Friday's 30,046). It's hard to make a meaningful day-to-day comparison under these circumstances, so I'll note instead that the seven-day averages for cases, hospitalizations and percent-positive are all up again and continue to trend upwards. In particular, I note with dismay that the seven-day percent-positive average is back above one percent for the first time since May 21. Sure looks to me as though we're entering another surge.

The town of Provincetown (out at the end of Cape Cod) has seen a big uptick in cases and is now advising people to mask up indoors regardless of vaccination status:

Oh, joy.

The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 5 active and 985 cumulative cases as of July 18. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
