Local COVID-19 updates

Day-over-day, newly reported deaths are down, but newly reported cases are up a bunch - possibly due to the infamous weekend reporting wonkiness, as newly reported tests are also up a bunch. The estimated active case count is down again, but the total number of hospitalizations is up. Somewhat more worryingly, the seven-day average for percent-positive actually is up, above the Lowest Observed Value - albeit, at 0.33%, it's still extremely low. The other three seven-day averages held at their LOVs; all four averages are still well below where they were two weeks ago. Overall, the absolute numbers are still very good indeed, but upticks in cases and percent-positive are worth keeping an eye on.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing zero active and 981 cumulative cases as of June 28. There have been no new cases shown on this dashboard since June 2. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 11:45AM on May 28, 2021 reported 978 cumulative cases with 3 individuals in isolation, 943 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
