Local COVID-19 updates
May. 9th, 2021 06:44 pmThe state's interactive dashboard is showing the same "technical issue" notice it was displaying on Friday:
( Wall-o-text )
Deaths, cases, estimated active cases, hospitalizations all down day-by-day, which is great; newly reported tests were also down day-by-day, though, which raises at least the chance that the cases drops are due to the infamous weekend reporting delays. The seven-day average for newly confirmed cases actually ticked up slightly, compared to yesterday; those for hospitalizations and percent-positive were both down. All four averages are below their values from two weeks ago.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 14 active and 970 cumulative cases as of May 7, and has not been updated since. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 6PM on April 27, 2021 reported 951 cumulative cases with 13 individuals in isolation, 906 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
Please note: Due to a technical issue, the raw data file for the 5/6 daily dashboard was missing some data in the county_weekly tab. The data have been added to the raw file and the dashboard has been updated to include these data. Not sure if they found something else missing, or if someone just got too happy with cut-and-paste operations. Anyway, whatever the issues are, they don't affect anything I'm currently reading.
