Local COVID-19 updates
Apr. 18th, 2021 05:20 pm( Wall-o-text )
A mixed bag of day-to-day changes, to be sure. Deaths and cases both down, but the cases drop needs to be taken with the traditional weekend-reporting-funkiness grain of salt. Estimated active cases are also down; however, hospitalizations are actually up, as are patients on ventilators. The seven-day averages for cases, percent-positive and deaths are all down, but the seven-day average for hospitalizations is up. All in all, nothing that I can point to and say either "yay, things are getting better" or "oh, shit, we're fucked".
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 30 active and 935 cumulative cases as of April 18. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 4:45PM on April 13, 2021 reported 914 cumulative cases with 30 individuals in isolation, 852 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
