Local COVID-19 updates
Mar. 20th, 2021 06:18 pm( Wall-o-text )
Day-by-day deaths are down (yay), (confirmed) cases are barely down (yay-ish), and percent-positive is also barely down. There was a big jump in probbable cases, though, and the estimated active case count continues to climb. Not to mention that the seven-day average case count is still going up, and is still higher than two weeks ago. This is not where I'd want to be two days before relaxing COVID-19 restrictions. Apparently Governor Charlie Baker is okay with this, though. (Or maybe he's ignoring case counts and focusing solely on hospitalizations; those are still trending downward. For now.)
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 9 active and 813 cumulative cases as of March 19. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 2PM on March 19, 2021 reported 813 cumulative cases with 9 individuals in isolation, 772 persons recovered and 32 fatalities.
