Local COVID-19 updates
Feb. 12th, 2021 05:59 pm( Wall-o-text and we hit the 15k mark on confirmed deaths )
Well, foo. Newly reported deaths and cases up day-to-day, while the number of newly reported tests actually dropped; that's a bad combination. Weirdly, while the number of cases by day of report has been going up all week, the seven day average of cases by date of test has been going down all week. Not sure what's going on there; off the top of my head, I would expect both to trend in the same direction.
And, in a very sad milestone, the total number of confirmed deaths statewide has now passed fifteen thousand; if you didn't crack open the cut tags above, the grim total is 15,051.
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 25 active and 717 cumulative cases as of February 11. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 3PM on February 12, 2021 reported 717 cumulative cases with 25 individuals in isolation, 661 persons recovered and 31 fatalities.
