Well - yay for fewer cases and deaths day-to-day, I suppose. At least we didn't break the record for new cases again. But this is still a far higher case count than even last week, let alone last month or over the summer; hospitalization counts keep going up, the estimated active case count is over fifty thousand, and positivity rates are over five percent even with the re-re-retested college students included.
Oh, and the COVID-19 levels found in MWRA wastewater is at new peaks for this fall surge. Of course, those levels are continuing to climb ...
The town of Acton's current Google Data Studio dashboard is showing 55 active and 401 cumulative cases as of December 4. The most recent "newsflash style update" at 6PM on November 30 reported 334 cumulative cases with 44 individuals in isolation, 268 persons recovered and 22 fatalities.
