Deaths and cases up day-over-day? Not good news, even if the three-day average death count is still declining. Even worse, the death count is higher than last Wednesday, although the new case count is slightly better.
The state also released its Weekly COVID-19 Public Health Report. My town of Acton is listed as having 156 confirmed cases (for a rate of 657.33 cases per 100k population) and 1,618 persons tested (for a rate of 6817.74 persons tested per 100k population), for a "percent positivity" of 9.64%. The corresponding statewide numbers are 101,654 cases (1459.12 cases per 100k), 727,549 persons tested (10,443.11 persons tested per 100k), and 13.97% positive tests.
As of 6:30PM today, the town of Acton is reporting 172 cumulative cases with 2 individuals in isolation, 148 persons recovered and 21 fatalities. (Not explained: why the number of cumulative cases went up by one while none of the other numbers changed. Also not explained: why the state and town numbers differ.)
