The latest on COVID-19
Mar. 15th, 2020 06:50 pmMassachusetts Governor Charlie Baker just finished a press conference about COVID-19. Highlights:
* No visitors allowed at nursing homes (exceptions for folks in hospice)
* Hospitals must heavily screen / limit visitors
* Gatherings of more than 25 people banned (down from 250)
* No restaurant or bar may offer food for consumption on premises; takeout and delivery is still permitted
* All schools (public and private) closed starting Tuesday 3/17 for three weeks
Community transmission now confirmed in seven Massachusetts counties (out of 14 total).
