An earthquake hit southern Maine a few minutes ago. The USGS earthquake page is currently listing it as magnitude 4.6, centered 5 km (3.6 miles) west of Hollis, Maine.
Myself? I heard a rumble and wondered if something had fallen down. Didn't feel any movement; no damage noted.
Shortly thereafter, my iPhone beeped at me; I've got the Red Cross Earthquake app set to send me alerts of any quakes over magnitude 3.5 within 250 miles:

Operational check: passed!
