Just had a completely random momentary loss of electrical power. The lights went out throughout the neighborhood for about two minutes. Then they magically came back.
It reminds me unfondly of life back at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard. We suffered several "loss of shore power" incidents, where the big breakers pierside would trip and nobody could figure out why. IIRC, it turned out that one of those breakers was a wee bit too sensitive to voltage and frequency fluctuations, which Hawaiian Electric was all too fond of providing. Generally at zero-dark-thirty in the morning ...
